Week Twelve


This week we move into Chapter 2; a look at what chemicals make up cells, how cells get nutrients and get rid of wastes, and the important life processes of photosynthesis and respiration. This week students need to focus on completing their cell analogy project by this coming Friday!

A tentative schedule this week includes
:

Monday - Graphic Organizer for Chemicals in a Cell / Chart on Chemicals
Tuesday - Movement of Molecules in and out of Cell Notes / Starch and Iodine Demo
Wednesday - Carrot Lab / Review Diffusion, Osmosis, Active Transport
Thursday - Finish Carrot Lab / 2.2 Worksheet / Photosynthesis and Respiration Comparison Chart
Friday - Video on Photosynthesis/Respiration

Homework this week includes:

Rough Draft of Cell Analogies for Project due Monday (MUST GET PROJECT SHEET SIGNED by MONDAY)

Cell Analogy Project due Friday

2.1 Worksheet (front and back) due Wednesday

Read 2.3 and 2.4, while filling in Photosynthesis/Respiration Comparison Chart by Wednesday 11/7

Finish 2.2 Worksheet by Wednesday 11/7
