Week Thirteen

Continuing our unit on cells we will be looking closely at the process of making food through photosynthesis and getting energy through respiration this week. Students need to start reviewing now for the Cell Test that will include the functions of the cell parts, the history of cells, the differences between animal, plant and bacterial cells, how cells get nutrients and get rid of wastes (diffusion, osmosis, active transport), and how cells make and use energy (photosynthesis and respiration). Cell reproduction (mitosis and meiosis) will be covered on a separate quiz.

A tentative schedule this week includes
:

Monday - Student Holiday
Tuesday - Student Holiday
Wednesday - Photosynthesis and Respiration Notes / Video
Thursday - Photosynthesis Mystery Activity
Friday - Finish Photosynthesis Mystery Activity / Photosynthesis and Respiration W.S.

Homework this week includes:

Photosynthesis and Respiration Worksheets due Tuesday 11/13
Cell Test Study Guide Due Monday 11/12
Start Preparing for Cell Test Thursday 11/15
