Week Ten

This week we will continue to look inside a cell and learn about some of the main parts that help it to function. We will also be studying how to use microscopes. The Microscope Quiz has been moved to Tuesday. Please use the worksheet we complete in class, the 2 pages in your textbook, and some of the websites listed below to study for the quiz.

Week Nine


Our unit on ecology has finally come to a close, except for the survivor biome projects that we are finishing up in class on Monday. This week we will be moving back to chapter one and begin looking at the discovery of the cell, how to use microscopes, and the parts of a cell.

Week Seven


For the last 2 weeks we have looked at the movement of energy in ecosystems by studying energy roles, food chains, food webs, and energy pyramids.

This week we will continue with food webs, but also begin to look at the cycles of matter, biogeography, and biomes.

Week Six

This week we will be taking our first test in science on Wednesday, September 12th. The study guide was handed out last Wednesday, and there is a link to it on last week's post.

We will also be looking deeper into the idea of animal adaptations as you create your own animal this week during an in-class project called Designer Animals.
